Slowly letting go is the gentlest self-healing for adults

On the road of life, there are always some emotions that cannot come to an end; There are always some people who can only accompany themselves through a journey. At first, we were unwilling to let go, repeatedly indulging in the past, unable to sleep at night, reminiscing over and over again, tightly grasping those emotions that had already passed, and constantly self destructing.

Later on, I gradually realized that fate has its ups and downs, and emotions also have their depths. Not all encounters can develop into lifelong partners. Some separations are not regrets, but rather the norm of life. The relationship that is forced to be maintained has long lost its flavor, and excessive persistence will only sink oneself into it, devouring the remaining tenderness and honesty.

True letting go is not about forgetting instantly, nor is it about deliberately erasing memories. But when I think of it again, my heart no longer fluctuates, there is no longer any resentment or reluctance. Being able to accept the ending calmly, let go of the other person calmly, and also gently let go of oneself.

Life is always composed of encounters and departures. Slowly let go, slowly let go, slowly heal. Don’t dwell on the past, don’t give up on the present, keep moving forward gently. In the days to come, there will be new scenery and tenderness waiting for you.
