Should we persist in long-distance relationships without seeing the future

Many long-distance couples have been together for a long time, gradually falling into confusion, without meeting plans, without ending the long-distance time, and without future plans, just mechanically chatting every day to maintain the relationship. Many people are struggling with whether to continue this long-distance relationship that cannot see the future. In fact, the judgment criteria are very simple, it depends on the attitudes and actions of both people.

Unplanned long-distance relationships are often difficult to sustain. If two people have never talked about the future, have not agreed on a time to end their long-distance relationship, have not worked hard for each other’s future, and only maintain a chat relationship, this relationship will only slowly wear down and eventually end in vain.

A long-distance relationship with a direction of effort is worth persisting in. Although the two are temporarily separated, they have been working hard to meet, live in the same city, and settle down. They are willing to compromise, contribute, and plan for each other’s future. Having goals, actions, and expectations, enduring such long-distance relationships is the rest of one’s life.

Unilateral long-distance relationships should be stopped in a timely manner. Only one person takes the initiative to plan, contribute, and persist, while the other party is perfunctory, unwilling to work hard, and never considers the future. This relationship is just a self moving experience. Unidirectional persistence is meaningless and will only constantly consume oneself.

The future of long-distance relationships does not rely on imagination, but on two-way action. True love makes people willing to cross distances and rush towards each other, actively paving the way for the future.

If we are firm and persistent in our efforts, we can persevere with peace of mind; If there is only perfunctory and confusion left, letting go in a timely manner is the best fulfillment for oneself.
