Many men and women’s relationships fade and gradually become distant, not because they no longer love each other, but because they get along too aggressively. Habitually dominate all things. You have to decide everything by yourself, deny the other party’s ideas, refute the other party’s choices, and fight for right and wrong, win or lose even small things, so that the other half will be in a depressed and passive state for a long time.
Emotions are never a debate or a game of victory or defeat. Being too dominant in interactions can cause the other person to lose their sense of presence and participation, gradually becoming afraid to express themselves, unwilling to communicate, no longer sharing or confiding when faced with problems, and their hearts will become increasingly distant. A dominant attitude is an invisible killer of intimate relationships.
A good relationship between men and women is one of mutual respect and equality. Don’t suppress the other person with your own ideas, don’t use a dominant posture to crush them, learn to listen, learn to make concessions, allow the other person to have their own opinions and choices, and accept each other’s differences.
Moderately showing weakness and reducing dominance are preservatives for emotions. Let go of the obsession with winning and losing, think from different perspectives, be tolerant and understanding, and adopt an equal and relaxed way of getting along. Only then can two people get along comfortably, cherish each other, and steadily warm up their relationship.
