Throughout one’s life, being busy and constantly running around, one will always encounter countless exhaustion and disappointment. We often chase the starlight in the distance, clinging to unfinished regrets, struggling with gains and losses and right and wrong, but ignoring the tenderness hidden in ordinary life, which is the best antidote to the suffering of humanity.
Tenderness is never weakness or cowardice, nor is it carefully pleasing, but choosing a kind and transparent heart after experiencing the trivialities of life. Having witnessed the ups and downs of human relationships and the complexities of the world, I am still willing to maintain kindness towards the world, cherish life, and be sincere towards those around me.
The tenderness in life is always hidden in the small details. It is a gentle morning light that dispels the exhaustion of late night; It’s an umbrella handed to me by a stranger on a rainy day, isolating me from wind, rain, and cold; It is a comfort from family when tired, a companionship from friends when frustrated, plain but enough to heal people’s hearts.
We will eventually understand that grand surprises will come to an end, and the gentle flow of water is the most touching. There is no need to chase after the dazzling brilliance of the world, nor to demand perfection in everything. Learn to accept the imperfections of life, tolerate your own small emotions, and treat every encounter around you kindly.
Be a gentle and ordinary person, calm and composed, neither humble nor arrogant. Accept the impermanence of the world, let go of past regrets, and cherish the present moment. Treat time with gentleness, treat sentient beings with sincerity, walk slowly, and live well. The hardships and confusion bestowed upon us by life will eventually be healed by subtle tenderness, and even ordinary days can shine brightly.
